Training of area mechanics is off good importance to the individual and the society at large. It helps in the sustainability of mechanical gadgets in the society and makes one earn a living from it.
GrowthAid, a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 trained pump caretakers in Buenyonye in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality.
The training was organized to equip the area mechanics with knowledge and skills on how to repair damage boreholes and as well on how to identify minor problems of a borehole. The purpose for training the area mechanics was to teach them about the various components of the borehole, train them to detect a fault on the borehole, train them on how to fix a problem on the borehole, and to supply them with some tools necessary to solve the fault of a borehole.
This training was geared towards the sustainability of the boreholes in the communities. The training saw nine participants from four communities namely, Buenyonye, Gyerkiti, Yonguase, and Oborpah.
The training was done in collaboration with Skyfox Services Limited, a partner of GrowthAid
