Prevention and Management of Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs)
“We work with local organizations and government agencies to manage NTD’s and help patients in their social and economic integration in society”. In general, we focus on;
- lymphatic filariasis (or elephantiases)
- Onchoceriasis (river blindness)
- Schistosomiasis (snail fever)
- Trachoma (blinding eye infection)
- Selected Soil-transmitted helminths (hookworm, roundworm and whipworm)
